Study Abroad Peru 2013: April 28: Day 2 (Lima, Peru)

Part of our group with the local young single adult group.
One of my favorite things about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is that there are members of the EXACT same church all around the world. So when 15 BYU students found themselves on an entirely different continent there was a 9:00 am church for us to go to. We also spent part of the day exploring the city, and had a great time just being tourists.

Study Abroad Peru 2013: April 27: Day 1 (SLC to LIM)

Day One: Travel day!

1:00 am - Now that I am officially 20, I decide to be responsible and get some sleep.
3:00 am - Drive to the Salt Lake City International Airport. So much for sleeping.
5:30 am - Board flight to Houston
6:00 am - Flight leaves for Houston
10:00 am - Arrive in Houston

Now we have a 5 hour layover in Houston. What do we do?

For two weeks starting April 27 I had the privilege of visiting the wonderful country of Peru during a Study Abroad class at Brigham Young University. It was probably my two of my favorite weeks in the approximately 1048 weeks I've been living on this beautiful planet. Because I haven't shared a lot about the time I spent their with many people (ok ok, I've told pretty much no one anything) I thought I'd try and recapture the experience in a series of blogposts, approximately one for each day I was there. By the end I will have an eternal record of the expereince, and hopefully you'll have enjoyed reliving the experience with me (and possibly thought about something new along the way!). So stay tuned for the adventure, but first a little background....

And Then There Was...a widget

In keeping with the purpose of this blog, to only share the educational moments in my life, I have decided to share one that also continually excites me despite the fact that it hasn't happened yet. What could this event be you ask? Well I'll let the widget on the right tell you...
